Video Ministry: Is Your Audience Online?

Why Not Marketing Your Ministry is Vain

Communications in ministry today is loaded with borrowed terminology. We rely heavily on “the world” for our vocabulary when it comes to getting the word out. Sadly, modern ad agencies excel in communication far beyond the efforts of the Church. Madison Avenue often reaches the eyes and ears of our people far more quickly and effectively than we do.

This does not have to be the case but it is the case. That is why leaders are so sensitive when the word “marketing” is introduced to their weekly church staff meeting. We don’t want to “market” the Gospel. “Marketing” somehow reeks of theological compromise. After all, we want to subvert the evil tactics of the world; not perpetuate them.

But what if you adjusted your understanding of the word “marketing” to a more accurate definition? What if “marketing” could be reclaimed for the Gospel?

Evangelical theologian and scholar Carl F. H. Henry once said, “The Gospel is only good news if it gets there in time.” As ministers of the Gospel, we need to be quicker and more persuasive than Madison Avenue. It is our mission, and it is your responsibility, to “market” your ministry if you are driven by the Great Commission.

The term “marketing” is too often perverted into a sort of glam deception schema that preys on the appetites of the public. Let’s stop there: Is that what comes to your mind when you consider a marketing strategy?

The way you communicate demonstrates what you think about the value of your message. The world is trained to watch for signals, both visual and audible, that tell them what is important and what is not. Your ministry’s website testifies to the power of the Gospel. Even your service bulletin stakes claims about the Kingdom.

Don’t get me wrong; the Kingdom of God is not about websites and bulletins, but your ministry will succeed or fail, at least in part, based on the level of seriousness with which you take your message. If your message is important you will ensure that people hear it quickly and effectively. In other words . . . you will ResonateOrDie.

Gospel leaders who “market” their ministries well should do so out of consideration for the lost. To do so for some other reason is vanity. Gospel leaders who do not “market” their ministries well demonstrate contempt for the lost. That is equally, if not more grotesquely, vain. Let me be clear: you should only market within, your means. “Your power” to do so might be great or it might be small. If your resources are abundant, be a good steward. If your resources are limited, be a good steward. The point is to “market” effectively, not to “market” expensively.

So don’t be afraid when your staff brings up ministry marketing in your next weekly meeting. You are not selling out to the world to have this conversation. It is not vain to “market” your ministry. It is vain not to.

3 Steps To A Christian Music Marketing Plan Online

Three Steps To Promotion And Christian Marketing

These three Christian marketing steps can be a great starting point whether you are looking to promote your ministry online or trying to earn extra money with your Christian home business.

I recently attended a seminar with internet marketing great Stephen Pierce, and special guest, Power Team International founder, Bill Walsh. I received amazing wisdom from these men who are at the top of their fields in internet marketing and network marketing businesses.

I took lots of notes and found these three business keys you can use in your ministry marketing steps or Christian home based business plan.

You can look at them as beginning steps for a ministry marketing plan online. You can also check out The Simple Ministry Marketing Training Series offered by Ministry Marketing Productions.

If you are ready to harness the power of the internet for preaching, promotion or profits,  I believe these three points will prove beneficial to you to begin the journey!

A-C-T Three Ministry Marketing Steps

The three steps spell ACT:

  • A: A stands for assess. This means assess where you are now in your ministry marketing or work from home business. Are you in the beginning and wondering where to go? Or are you in the middle with frustration and aggravation because you see no results, no traffic, no resources gained?

Just acknowledge where you are and go on from there. Don't condemn or judge, just use this as your starting point.

  • C Choose to act. Choose to begin to make good choices on what to feed your mind. Choose positive images and words. Make a choice that you are going to fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and you are going to walk out that faith with work! Words are so powerful. Life and death is in your tongue!

In addition, choose wisely with the coaches and mentors who can play a role in your ministry or business plan. Commit to not just learning but applying what you learn. To learn means you have to act. Act means work.

Commit and recommit every day to maintaining your relationship with God. Yes, it is a pivotal role in your ministry and business! God can download information, wisdom and strategy in your time with Him in the Word, like no other person. He can help you refine your sskills you do have. He can download HIS favor at a moments notice. He can set you before the right people at the right time to make your destiny not just a dream but a reality.

Choose personal development as a priority. That might mean attending a seminar, from Dani Johnson to Kenneth Copeland....to a free blogging course! God will reveal the mentors and teachers to you. You simply have to choose to trust Him for the provision, direction and simply GO...choose to ACT...WORK!

  • T Be thankful. Find joy in your journey today. Don't let your longing for something in the future slay your appetite for living today! Don't allow your present circumstances determine your future.

God will prepare you for your destiny. Don't freak out during the preparation. The process is the preparation for your destiny!

Think about it. Would a father give his 11 year old son keys to his NASCAR style race car? I think not.

If he was grooming his son for a racing career, I believe he'd start with the small racing style cars and work his son up from stage to stage to get to that NASCAR car.

Imagine the thrill of that Father when he sees his son (or daughter) be patience, work and learn how to be the best race car driver each stage of that destiny. (I wonder if this is how the late Dale Earnhardt felt about his son?)

Finally, remember that the One Who has given you the vision will provide the provision. Where God calls, He enables.

    Some final thoughts:

"Our words are containers. They contain our destiny." - Jesse Duplantis

"No one's opinion is as important as your destiny." - Stephen Pierce

God calls us not to be mountain climbers, but mountain dissolvers!" - Jesse Duplantis

Christian Marketing: Simple Blogging Tips

Christian Marketing:  Video Blogging Strategy

So why should you consider video blogging as part of your business or Christian marketing strategy?

  • Video offers a more comprehensive experience. You can show more emotion, share the heart and passion to connect with your audience.
  • Many people prefer watching a video explaining an idea or thought than reading the printed information. One recent study concluded that people were six times more likely to watch a video than reading printed information to understand a subject.
  • Many are learning how to make money with a blog by incorporating video. It's a powerful affiliate marketing strategy as well.
  • You can identify your video to your own domain name. Basically, it's worth repeating. You can control the videos shown on your page! You don't have to worry about something inappropriate being shown near your videos.
  • Video blogging can be an extension of your ministry. By video blogging, you can start your own "channel", your own video ministry, sharing your anointing and gifts to thousands.

How to get started

So you are ready to use video for Christian marketing or promotion in your blog?

Getting started with adding video to your blog is easier and easier these days. I have had extensive experience using all sorts of cameras through the years. Today, there are more quality cameras that are coming out with lower price tags.

The easiest and fastest way to start is to get The Flip Camera!

I am amazed over and over again by how easy it is to use. My kids love it. They are always taking it with them wherever they go. I usually have to hide it if I want to use it!

How easy is it? My 6 year old son got a hold of the Flip Video camera this past summer and shot himself singing. I made his little adventure into a "Flip YouTube Video Moment", a great fun post for any video blog!

Other pocket size cameras include the Creative Labs Vado Pocket Video Camcorder, Kodak Zi6 HD Pocket Video Camera, and DXG DXG-567VKC 5.0 Megapixel High-Definition Pocket Digital Video Camera In Clamshell.

One reason why I like the Flip Video camera is the "Flip" out device that can be inserted into your computer. You insert it to one of your USB ports, download some software that comes with the camera, and you have the basic means to save the video to your computer and upload them to your blog. If you want to get a little fancier, there are some quality inexpensive software you can buy to give you more options, such as adding your link to your video blog or website at the bottom of the video.

Be real and "shoot" from the heart.

To really get this video blogging started and on its way, you have to be willing to take the time to be real, set the camera up, and shoot! Don't be afraid. Share from the heart. Forget your ego and what YOU look like. It's not about you, it's about them! You have the opportunity to help that person who may stumble upon your blog site, needing a word of hope. Granted, you don't want to be in your hair rollers or bathrobe when you are on camera, but don't "wig out" over a bad hair day.

Finally, the video wave is starting to roll across the internet. Now is the time to take the necessary steps to get a camera and ride the wave! One thing you will notice in the end is more traffic to your blog site, more people reading and hearing about your ministry, and more hearts touched by your anointing!

Christian Marketing With Articles

Writing High Quality Articles For Your Website

By Tim Jefferson

Want to do well in search engine rankings, or gain the respect of others and have them view your website as a true authority in your niche. If so, then you have to get excellent content loaded onto each of your website pages. This can be done by writing great articles or content pieces. Want to know how to write great articles? Check out the information below.

Don't Sell The Title Short

The title of your article is very important because it is the very first thing that readers see when searching the results where your article can be found. You'll want to write a title that will grab the attention of your potential readers and draw them in. If you writing on a particular keyword or phrase, make sure that it can be found somewhere in the title.

Focus On Article Body Quality

This is where you'll really get your message across so it's important that you make this section as readable and understandable as possible. Grammar, spelling, and punctuation are all crucial aspects of writing and should not be taken lightly if you want to be viewed as a well respected author. Your readers will be more likely to read the entire article if it is properly written and exciting at the same time. One thing to keep in mind is that you never want to "stuff" your article with your keyword or keyword phrases. This doesn't do your readers any good and will not get you any popularity points either.

Summarize Your Topic

At this point your readers should be well informed about the topic that you wrote the article on, and all that is left is to refresh or reiterate the important topics that you discussed earlier. A great summary will help solidify the information in your reader's mind so they remember exactly what the article was about and will remember it for quite some time. Always provide a brief summary for your readers so that can easily remember your article.

Want to buy articles instead of having to write them yourself? Take a look at the article writing service at http://www.articlemedley.com.

Christian Marketing: SEO Secrets To High Rankings

Christian Marketing: SEO Basics

Christian Marketing requires the same basic principles of any marketing strategy. And SEO, search engine optimization must be part of the foundation of your ministry marketing plan online.

SEO is the process of optimizing your pages in your website or blog so it will rank high when people search for things via Google or any other search engine.

Christian marketing using SEO is about the content on your site and picking the right keywords for your content, whether it be a article, blog post, or video. Picking the right keywords for you content is key for people to find you so they can link to your pages on your site.

The key to finding keywords is research!

You have to be able to find the exact keywords that relate to the words and phrases that people in your target market type into a search engine to find that which they are looking.Typically, the more specific the phrase, the higher it will convert. You also have to keep in mind of LSI: Latent Semantic Indexing. All this means is the related words related to your keyword or related themes.

For example, you have golf swing as you keyword. Related words could be clubs, swing, courses, shoes etc.

It's good to have these related word so as to show the search engines, such as Google, that you are not just stuffing a page with keywords but actually producing real content (of real value).

So keyword research is a vital internet marketing tip.

One keyword tool that is free is Google. As I show in my video above, it is a very easy tool to start some basic discovery of finding your keyword.

SEO also involves some on page factors you need to consider.

The first and most important factor of everything you do is how your page is structured with the title tag. The title of your web page or video should have no more than 65 characters, and the keyword should start the title with related (LSI) phrases in it.

Another on page factor is your description. Use your keyword in a short description concerning what your page is about, including your related words to the keyword.

Using Wordpress Blogs are great because you can download plug ins, such as the SEO All In One Plug-In to help your posts and blog rank well in the search engines.

Here are some examples of blogs I have where I use this SEO plug-in.

http://MinistryMarketingOnline.com

So, whether you have a post, article, or video, understanding the internet marketing tip of SEO will help you be on your way to earning extra money online, promoting your ministry, or to help your business promotion.

Dr. Barry Lee: A Voice Of Truth And Hope For Today

Dr. Barry Lee: A Voice Of Truth And Hope For Today

Introduction by Dr. Mark J. Chironna

"Dr. Barry Lee is a pastor in our global network of churches and church leaders. Barry began to participate with us a few years back. I have come to know he and his wife intimately in the last eight years and value them deeply.

Dr. Barry Lee is a competent pastor, preacher, and teacher. Barry has an earned doctorate in theology, is a student of the Scriptures, and exhibits profound proficiency in his exegesis of a text and his delivery.

He is a compassionate and caring individual who loves people and goes out of his way to be a servant who leads as opposed to a leader who serves. In today's environment that is crucial to healthy development of leadership and those that work with leadership.

Dr. Barry Lee has great people skills and is extremely personable. It is difficult not to like Barry, and very easy to love Barry. He is a man of integrity and will swear to his own hurt and not change, even when his character is falsely accused.

Dr. Barry has a heart for cultural diversity and in his ministry he has successfully bridged the gap between races, classes, and genders. This is crucial in the post-modern world if we are to genuinely model reconciliation and reach the harvest that God intends to gather through His Church. He is one of the greatest apostolic and prophetic voices in the nation and I count him more than a co-laborer in the gospel; I count him a faithful friend."

--Bishop Dr. Mark J. Chironna

How to Schedule Dr. Barry:

Thank you for your inquiry regarding Pastor Barry Lee's ministry and the possibility of having him minister at your event. Before you invite him, make sure you are authorized by your church or organization to do so.

The number one question people have is how much does it cost to have Barry Lee come and minister? There are three options:

1. Barry will travel at his own expense in the USA and in highly developed nations* provided the host will allow him to receive his own offering each time he speaks.

2. Otherwise, it is customary for the host to provide travel and accommodations plus an honorarium that will be agreed upon in your initial conversation with Dr. Lee.

3. You can also choose to cover travel and accommodations, and receive a love offering for his ministry each time he speaks. To invite him is simple: please contact his ministry by phone, letter, or better yet, send an email. Thank you for your inquiry. We look forward to serving you and helping to make your event a great success.

* We regret that Dr. Barry is unable to pay for any expenses in developing nations.

Simple Ministry Marketing: Discover A Precise Strategy?

Simple Ministry Marketing Methods:           Using Precise Marketing

Success in having a ministry marketing plan online must include precise marketing strategies.

Precise and proven internet marketing is what this means!!

It is one major key to the acronym S-P-E-A-K for success, that is featured in the book, Six Market Plan Steps,  with online Christian promotion by Theresa Croft.  It's also explained in the latest DTC Ministry Marketing training series.

Two Mentors: My Path To Finding Precise Marketing Strategies

I have experienced this first hand in the past year of the difference between precise methods to marketing online and just hitting and missing with a mixed bag of strategies.

I have spent my share of money on different "guru" packages, courses and e-books.

And I have felt like I was spinning my wheels doing different things but seeing no real results.

I can tell you I got to a point of wondering…"Will any of this ever work"

My turning point came when I came in contact with two internet marketing giants. One was Frank Sousa, co-developer of Traffic Geyser. I was blessed to make a connection with Frank, as he was from my old home town of Spokane, Washington.

He was gracious enough to call me and spend some time mentoring me with his wisdom in regards to a video marketing strategy for an affiliate product I was trying to market to finance my ministry marketing vision. Frank is like a father figure to me. I felt so blessed to spend some time on the phone gleaning wisdom. I still stay in touch with him via e-mail. He does not mince words but speaks truth! I am so excited because recently Frank has lit a fire again in me in regards to using video as one precise marketing method.

I can honestly attest that Frank's advise is the reason why I have been able to get myself and my client's numerous high rankings in search engine organic traffic for keywords.

It is ONE of my favorite precise marketing strategies!!

The other internet marketing giant I came across was Stephen Pierce. I gave his

MRMI Super Cash program a trial spin for $1 for 30 days.

I was barely into that 30 days when I saw immediate results from some basic methods that Stephen was teaching. For one, I increased traffic to my main site by over 50%. I can't express the thrill in learning one or two strategies, that I had no clue about before watching live webinars with Stephen, that worked! No black hat tricks. Just proven internet marketing strategies that have worked for my mentor for over 10 years!

In addition to this, I received amazing advice on marketing with blogs, forums, and affiliate marketing. It was "no brainer" for me to continue on with his training program!

So I guess a key to finding that precise marketing strategy has a lot to do with aligning yourself with mentors who have had success, and who over deliver on value.

Stephen Pierce, along with his wife Alicia, are now not only my coaches but my friends. I have spent time training at their home, have witnessed their integrity and heart to over deliver. So I can attest they would be the best coaches for you to learn THE BEST marketing strategies…AT the most reasonable price. They over deliver every time. To fluff or filler, just the real deal!

For more details on Blogger, check this out from Google:

"A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world.

"Your blog is whatever you want it to be. There are millions of them, in all shapes and sizes, and there are no real rules.

"In simple terms, a blog is a web site, where you write stuff on an ongoing basis. New stuff shows up at the top, so your visitors can read what's new. Then they comment on it or link to it or email you. Or not.

"Since Blogger was launched in 1999, blogs have reshaped the web, impacted politics, shaken up journalism, and enabled millions of people to have a voice and connect with others.

"And we're pretty sure the whole deal is just getting started."
