Biblical Healing: Alzheimer’s Disease Treatment Part Two
In Alzheimer’s disease, the person loses touch of reality with their personal identity. They are experiencing guilt, self-rejection, confusion, fear and lack of identification in who they really are. In relationships, they are experiencing the need to be loved, the inability to feel loved and accepted so they feel insecure. They end up like a man or a woman without a country and the very thing they need the most, their identity, has escaped them.
Remember what Job said, “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” Job 3:25
Alzheimer’s disease is classic because what they feared most… a lack of identity, which is the permanent loss of connection to themselves…is what they’re saddled with. So what are the spiritual roots of Alzheimer’s disease? Guilt, self-hatred and self- rejection. Many times it begins in childhood, coming out of rejection by a father, a lack of nurturing and covering.
It can include abuse by a father and it can also include, in later life, abuse by a husband. Many times women, who have been abused and not nurtured by their fathers, look for love in a man and end up in the arms of a man who is just like their father. It’s classic. It shows the pathway of iniquity and how it draws people together in that kingdom to make victims out of them, from generation to generation.
